Hello everyone. My 6 inch blue squamosa seems to be producing a more than usual amount of slime as of late. Any ideas what might cause this? Water params are standard, Alk 8.5 cal 425 mag 1360.
Only fish is a yellow watchman so no nipping taking place.
I did bump up lights from around 180 to 200 par at mantle, but started sliming before this.
Not sure if nearby acans could be causing the issue?

Looks healthy, I wouldn't worry too much. Especially if you having good growth. On occasion our large squamosa would produce more mucus and it didn't cause issues. Sometimes it could be a defense from irritation so make sure nothing could be stinging it.
