Hi R2R! I’ve been on and off here for a few years now but have never been inclined to start a build thread, at least until now! I got a great deal on a 120g tank and stand and I jumped at the opportunity to get out of my aging 90g. I’m proud to say after just one Home Depot trip and a single late Friday night, I was able to get the new set up going using all of the water and rock from my old tank. It was my first PVC job, but it was a fun experience! I learned a lot. It’s a great feeling looking back on my 4 years in the hobby, starting at 32g to now. This tank will be mostly coral focused. I’m just beginning to dip into some higher end stuff so im looking forward to the opportunities I will have in here. Photos of the whole process will be below, this is my first time attaching them so I am hoping I do it properly. This tank is lit with a Photon V2+, Return pump is a Vectra M1 with a Mobius-ready M2 controller. If im missing any other info that I should be including for you guys please let me know, otherwise thanks for checking my tank out! Will continue updating with photos as I make changes

Fish list:
-Sailfin tang
-Scopas tang
-pair of Klarkii
-Hawkfish

Nice. I am planning an Aqueon 120 also. What are you using for a sump and skimmer?

My sump is just a 40 breeder with a Fiji Cube drop in kit, I’ve been using it for around 8 months and I love it. The skimmer is an Octopus 110(I think that’s the right series) that I got second hand. It’s an absolute beast it can handle it all

I’m finally back for an update on this bad boy. It’s been about a month with this setup and things are going great. Added valves and tweaked the drains. Upgraded the refugium light. Got my reactor going again. I was struggling with some seriously elevated phosphate levels but rowaphos beat that quick. Everyone is settling in nicely. I will attempt to add some photos, including some growth comparisons, just let me know if they aren’t appearing
