Hello,
I bought one of these and installed it in my 150 gallon a couple of months ago, and just bought another for the other side as they are supposed to work together. The directions are not in the best English.

Can anyone offer assistance with how to set these up as a master and slave?

On the controller they have a setting for master/slave. If you set one to master and the other to slave the slave will follow what ever the master is doing.

But they aren't hooked together, correct? This is what's throwing me off. Lol

They use local wireless to talk to each other. It's not 'WiFi' specifically, but a proprietary protocol.

They do the same thing with their Nero knock offs.

On the controller you have to hold on to button that says wi/le lock.
Hold this button for 10secs and both controller units should flash together (orange light will flash)

Both now connected, then click on wi/le to choose master (via lights) then other device will copy and follow

question, how are you liking it?
I'm considering purchasing 2 of these, but smaller for my 53gallon shallow 4ft reef tank.

is cleaning a pain?

I have not cleaned my first one yet, so hopefully others will comment.

Cleaning shouldn't be much different than the icecap or jump gyres, Citric acid soak and run them at 40% for 20 minutes, then RO soak and run them at 100% for 5 minutes.

If you do disassemble them, if they ARE like the gyres, make sure you don't lose any of the small spacers. They keep it nice and quiet, and if they're missing, your gyre.... sorry, crossflow pump... will sound like a garbage disposal.

I've had my scp70 going in my 40 for 3 months without cleaning, it has for sure slowed down a bit but it was almost moving to much water to begin with.

So are you still running this gyre? How do you find it overall and is it easy to clean?

Hello, I am still running two of them but they are not currently in my tank because I took them out for cleaning. Soaked them in citric acid solutiin and I just have not finished the cleaning process and put them back yet. They were running great but slower, so I assumed I should clean them. I honestly have not done it yet so pretty sure it was overdue! LOL

Do you have them sync to one another if so are you happy the flow through out the tank
