Ghostly,

The G4 with a diffuser is the best Radion STILL. I would live to find about 4 brand new XR30s. I would buy them immediately. The diffuser is such a simple thing, but very effective.

I have a brand new one for a XR30 G5, but that won't help you.
I drove 90mins to pick up a diffuser because I will be adding another xr30 to my tank soon. I hope my G4s last another 5 years...

I'm confused about how they work though. Do they just evenly disperse the lights? Id rather run g4s since you've said such good things about it

Yes, it's basically a thin sheet of plastic that catches and blends the individual leds before distributing to the water. LEDs suffer from not blending spectrum as they are individual light sources. The diffuser attempts to fix that.

But it also gets rid of the shimmer of the lights?

Most, not all. It definitely won't shimmer like Kessil or Metal Halide, even without a diffuser. You don't have to run one.
I've been given another offer. There's an a360we near me for 50$ cheaper... I do love the radion and ik you love the g4s but what would you suggest at this point? Lots of people are getting out of the hobby sadly

Picked up the light. I'm thinking about using the AB schedule but for an 18x18x18 tank what intensity should I start with? I have it on 65 atm mounted 9ish inches from the surface

(10in) looking for around 120 at the bottom. How should I acclimate and what peak should I use? Looking for advice and ideas for intensity. Most coral are 8in below the water
