Expired supplements?...

I still have bottles of calcium, magnesium, alkalinity and such from when I left the hobby 7 years ago. The bottles say expired in 2015... is it safe to use? What does expired really mean? That it is less effective or will nuke my tank? Thoughts?

Test some fresh saltwater to get a baseline then add some of your supplements to it and test again and if it reads what it should then its ok to use imo.
