Testing Dosing Drygoods Apex A3 . Never used.

I have an Apex A3. Unused. I did check it out and put back in the original box. Includes Apex controller display module. Willing to sell for 400 plus shipping cost for everything. I’d include pics but it’s in the box so there’s not much to show.

    Dosing but OVER

I am dosing for the first time for alkalinity and started at 7.9 but went to 9.5 which is well over the recommended 1.4 daily increase. Will this damage the reef? If so, do I need to do a water change to correct or will it be okay, just don’t dose anymore ?

    Expired supplements?...

I still have bottles of calcium, magnesium, alkalinity and such from when I left the hobby 7 years ago. The bottles say expired in 2015... is it safe to use? What does expired really mean? That it is less effective or will nuke my tank? Thoughts?
