Received a QT'd Exquisite Wrasse today. Put in an acclimation box but it has just been hiding in the PVC all day. Tried feeding some brine and no response. Does the hiding and laying in the PVC sound concerning?

Wrasses nearly always hide for at least several days

Sounds like he is just scared for now. Try giving him a little bit of shade by either moving the box to a part of the tank with less light or covering part of the top with something.

If he’s out swimming he should eventually start eating. Just try feeding him periodically with different foods until you see him eat something. Then just feed it that for a little bit. Also try to heavily feed your tank so the tank mates are kept busy and he might feel a little safer pursuing food.
