Failed mushroom split?

My rhodactis has been growing and splitting consistently since I got it a while back. Recently a fee started the process of splitting and it looks like this one didn’t go so smoothly- it looks like there are just scattered pieces and it blew up. Anyone seen anything like this?

yeah ,looks like it decided to split into 5 or so.
