I haven't noticed this before however, my falco hawkfish has a dark spot on his left side near his tail. Looks almost like a bruise under his skin. Can anyone advise to what this may be? There is no erratic or different behavior. Any info will help. Thank you!

Do you have an anemone or stinging coral in your system? It looks like a minor sting to me.

I have an anemone but it kind of looks like it's under the skin like a bruise with a bump... our Nem is so tiny right now and typically he never goes on that side of the tank. Definite possibility though. He swims by the torch coral but i guess i don't know if they sting?
