I'm pretty sure I've figured out what I've got here, but really just wanted to share some photos I took with my macro lens.
Originally I was photographing the progress of several new zoa polyps, then I noticed a white dot on the plug.
My lens isn't "great" and I'm also dealing with light refraction from the glass and water, but this is a lot more in focus and we can see a fan like structure that when viewed over time, retracts and extends.
Another photo taken with lights off and an indirect light source.. all the zoas are sleeping.
Here's another angle and additional magnification... This one, also shows an even smaller bristleworm, one of two I spotted while watching this critter, that appear to live in the center.
My tank is only 2 months old, but I find this super cool.
