Hi there - a few months ago we got a Favia that was pretty ill. It was covered in algae and clearly not doing well. We tried to heal it by doing a peroxide bath and then putting it on the bottom under low lights.
The algae all got cleaned up and it seemed to be healing - (we even had a polyp split ) however what we didn’t recognize was that bacteria was colonizing on it - presumably because it’s in a low flow area.
Its now badly covered in bacteria. I’ve moved it to an area that as higher flow and plan to get another pump to increase the overall flow in the tank - however I’m not sure what else we can do to save the Favia? It seems to be very sensitive to light - doesn’t feed well and is slow a healing.
