I have had this piece for about 3 weeks and it has gotten faded in color and has cyno and hair algae growing on the side? What can I do? It never has its feeders out either.?

The photo actually makes it look a lot more purple than it is its almost white.?

Can you place it in a more shaded area? If so try that along with a little less flow. I have a nice starlight favia that had almost went completely white so I shaded it for a few weeks and watched for feeders after dark and feed when it was ready. It came along just fine. Its worth a shot to try and save such an amazing coral.

Yeah I have plenty of lowerlight spots ill try. Thanks! Do you have any idea on how to get the cyno and hair algae off it?

if you have a turkey baster you could gently blow it off but the hair algae will have stay until its a little healthier and then you could do a peroxide dip and that would take care of that. I would try to get it in a little beter health before trying that though.
