WAIT!!! Is that a LIVE CLAM???!!!
Not to jack the thread, (ok I am), got any more pics of that beauty or a build thread?Lol!!! Yes it is.
The tank you see is an Oceanic 240 which I set up in Aug. '04. Unfortunately this tank has 3 center braces with only 20" between them, and the clam is 30" across fully open.
That is jus awesome and EPIC. EPIC.Sorry about the short hijack... But my Xenia refugium and (left tank) SPS reef is now using a value SB Reef fixture. So its kind of on topic. Also I've had the clam for almost 10 years and about half that time has been under "Black Box Led Light" (Reef Breeders)
That is jus awesome and EPIC. EPIC.
Yea next time anyone asks what you can grow under a BB led. Prob just show em that.
Really amazing. Thanks for those pics.
Last hijac. How big was that calm. when you got it?
Great. Now I want another clam. Bus smaller perhaps.
Ocean revive t247 are keeping everything colorful and growing well in my reef
I have the same fixture I'm curious how high you have them set to for your set up?
They are approximately 13" above the water on my SPS dominant 150xh
Channel 1 (blue) 90%
Channel 2 (white) 50%
I'm much lower with mine but I'm running a lps and pali tank. I was thinking I was a little low and I have been slowly turning up. I'm going to pick up a seneye reef to do some proper readings in a week

12 to 16 depending on the dimensions. How deep is the tank? What height above water and power are you guys running your SBreef lights at. Also how many hours a day? I'm just starting to add corals and I think I have them turned up too high. Bleached one of my new frags, moved it back deeper in the tank and backed my lights down a bit and got polyp extension back, it's just mostly white now. [emoji17]
