Just added clownfish today from Sustainable Aquatics and would like to hear your favorite coral that can reasonably tolerate clownfish nuzzling. I know toadstools can effectively host them, but I'd personally like to get something more eye-catching for the front of my peninsula (would consider a neon green or Japanese toadstool though).

My first instinct was to place place a torch coral here but I've heard they don't react well to clownfish rubbing. So, what's your favorite coral that can host clownfish, not necessarily your favorite coral for hosting clownfish (if that makes sense)?

I’ve had Clowns snuggle up to Frogspawn it the past. When I got back into “the lifestyle”, I set up a Nano and my centerpiece is a Frogspawn (12 head). After about 4 months, my Snowflake Clowns are just starting to show interest in it. Frogspawn tolerates the clown activity fairly well with no ill side effects.

I’ve had two snowstorm clowns host in my zoa garden, the stalks were tall enough the clowns would swim through, without interacting with the zoa head/mouth so it wouldn’t retract

I had a yellow stiped maroon clown that made his home in a large bubble coral. The clown was happy as a clam. The coral wasn't crazy about the arrangement, but never had any real damage.

elegance but its sting would definitely leave marks on my clowns. Had to buy an anemone to make them stop.
