Is it possible that two feather dusters could be in the same tube?

Thats just a single worm in the tube. If you look at the crown, it only has one opening. They often look like they have 2 crowns at the base.

Whats really cool, watch it for a while, you'll see it making new tube(actually creating tube paper).
 
They will either detach and grow a smaller crown, or increase their crown size(making a second crown like Ned's and yours) in relation to the amount of food they receive.

I've had a couple that completely tossed their crowns, and lived in their tubes for weeks(I was starving the tank purposely). When they emerged they had tiny little crowns. When I started to increase feeding, their crowns grew to the big beautiful ones we usually see.
