I have feather dusters growing in my skimmer pump. I have live rock I placed in my sump and the system was a new setup in August
I find this very interesting and thought I would share. Any one else have this? And yes the skimmer is running

I love it! Just surprised at it happened in just a few months.
And don't worry if you have to clean the pump or otherwise remove some of the dusters... I can almost guarantee they'll come back :)

I also have them everywhere. For years and years, they stayed on a rock in my sump then all of sudden they were everywhere! I like them so it isn't a problem for me.
I like them also, I was excited when I found them.

Creatures popping out of nowhere, the beauty of live rock. Dry rock stars don't bring the same excitement. I remember, when I first started, being excited finding corals/ featherdusters/ sponges.i was even excited when I found my 1st aiptaisia, I was feeding the little bast ard; happy when there was 2.. ignorance is bliss right, ugh, if I only knew

LOL, I already went down the aiptaisia road with dry rock only build. Had a tank full. I mean full. Reason for the new build on this post. I have aiptaisia control down to a science. Even the problem tank free of the little buggers.
