I have been noticing these more and more every day at first I thought they were cool little things but I’ve found them on stalks of some my torches that died. What are they and could it be the reason my torches died?

They look like small anemones (majano?).

I can't tell if they are cloves or majano's or some other kind of coral.

First thing through my brain was majanos

Either way, if it’s majanos you want it out. If it’s cloves, even more so you want it out and quick

I broke down a failing reefer 425 a while back that was 100% encrusted in clove polyps less viewing panes… I rolled it up off the sand bed like a rug!

It’s so sad, I’d didn’t know what it was until it was too late in my tank
