Usually in low light areas of dirtier tanks. Not really an issue unless you don't like them.

If you want to get rid of them, get a wrasse.

What kind do you recommend?

Well, as you can see by my username, I'm a pretty big fan of the sixline wrasse.

Of course they can be pretty feisty so great care needs to be taken when choosing their tank mates. The pink striped wrasse looks a bit similar, but is much more mild mannered.

They won’t hurt anything if you want to leave them in there. I’d not I’d suggest a corris wrasse. The green corris was super chill for me, stayed relatively small (2”) and kept all my pests and worms under control. If it was me though I’d keep them. Feather dusters don’t sting or hurt anyone and they’re super neat to look at.
