Got this torch frag and I think there is a feather duster attached to it

Sorry for the bad picture, but what made me think it was one is that when something is near it closes up really fast

Since the picture and lighting is bad, it is black in appearence and not the silver coloured festher duster. Is this type safe to keep or should I remove it?

Assuming it opens in a full circle shape rather than a rake shape, yeah, that's a feather duster - harmless filter feeder.
Thanks, I was going to remove it but then I just thought to myself that it's a cool creature to have, if it's harmless then it's welcome

Can they reproduce and spread in the tank?

Some can, some don't seem to be able to. The small ones generally reproduce while the medium/large ones don't.

Alright thanks,
I am just thinking of the affect of this long term, since it is attached onto the skeleton of the coral as opposed to a rock somewhere else, I hope this does not affect the coral negatively
