Folks,

wondering if anyone has an elegant idea? I’ve got a reefer 750 v3 with dual returns, each one has a COR20. Ive got them dialed in with Neptune flow sensors to pretty closely match Red Seas recommended flow. I didn’t install check valves.

Neptune suggests running the pumps at 1% speed for feed mode to avoid back flow and startup bubbles.

The tanks incredibly silent overflow HATES that. Like incredibly loud flushing at 1%.

I’ve just been leaving the pumps off, but thought I’d inquire.

Presumably you need to run the pumps at a % that just prevents water going over the overflow, so it’s just a matter of balancing the correct %. Wether it’s 1 or 10%

On my Abyzz I turn the pump from 86% to 38% when I want a feed mode

Aha, I’ll play around a bit more but I think mine may want less than 1%? Thanks

I suggest running it at 10% for feed mode if you want to go that route. I have a Red Sea E-260 and when I feed I just turn off the circulation pumps and leave the return going.

I just hit the feed button on my Tunze return, it shuts off for ten minutes, I feed, 10 minutes later the pump kicks back on (startling me like a jack in the box every time) and the Red Sea drain resumes silent operation.
