I feed mine reef frenzy and it goes crazy. At night it's feeders are fully extended but whenever I put food in the tank it will extend them as well. I think normally it takes a few days to settle in but mine ate like a pig within hours of being in the tank.

when do you feed? I just bought my Echinata yesterday and tried feeding mysis tonight with no luck. i used a pipette and squirted a little bit of the mysis juice on the coral thinking its feeding tentacles would come out but they didnt

One of mine took some time to open up to feeding. You may be in an acclimation phase like I was. It eats like a horse now..

I agree with the acclimation comments. If your fish won't just steal it or your flow blow it away try to actually just squirt some whole mysis onto the coral and give it time to respond by swallowing up the taste morsels.

I've had my Echinata 4 days now and it's not eating. I've waited till the lights where off a couple hours and I'm not see it's feeder tentacles coming out. I know there is an acclamation period that they may go through. But, I kind of thought it would be done. Can someone help me out here

Give us further details as in lighting, placement and flow. Also what are the current parameters of its tank and it's inhabitants.

I feed mine lrs reef frenzy with a pipette. I cut off like an ich of the pipette tho. I try to give them the smaller particles. I thaw the lrs in a 3.5 ounce cup with some tank water and target feed everything once a week. When I first got mine now that I think about it he took awhile before he did eat. Just give it time and don't force it, when its ready it will eat.

Mine is down low in a deep blue 30 frag tank on a frag rack under an ati 8 bulb bulbs running at 28 and 31 percent output 2 different channels. No powerheads in that tank just the return nozzle from the return pump with a 3" lockline nozzle.
