Feeding angelfish corals intentionally?

Has anyone ever had the stones to feed their angelfish something soft/fleshy that is potentially overrunning another tank?

If so, how did it go?

I think it might be fun enrichment for my goldflake and emperor but a little hesitant for a bunch of reasons.

He might be able to answer! I follow him on IG as well, he has a ton of angels in with corals and they dont eat them. But he also does a tank with butterflies that only eat corals, so maybe he could give you info on that for angels?

Not an angelfish but I had an overabundance of Xenia so I added a Pyramid and Zoster butterflyfish and it cleared all of it within 30 days.

Yea his article was the one who gave me the confidence to get the fish! Maybe he responds to this cause I don’t have an IG.

I think my worry would be that they would then try other corals inside their own tank assuming its not fowlr.

Sure thing. I’ve tried chucking in some different corals with my angels and honestly they’ve never actively grazed on anything. Sure, some picking here and there but no major interest….apart from a rock with firework clove polyps. My blueface loved those.
Corals aren’t really a major part of their diet in the wild as far as I’ve inseved whilst diving. Most people just don’t feed enough so they look for alternative sources of food would be my guess.
Sponge is another matter entirely. I have live rock in my sump with a lot of sponge growth. I’ll periodically put one of those rocks in the tank and they go wild.
