I currently have a female in quarantine. She was eating mysis the first few days. Not eating well but eating. (Eating about 1 out of every 4 pieces of mysis) Then a few days later she started spitting out the mysis and now a week later she is not eating at all. She still swims around and looks interested when i feed. I was wondering what else to try to feed or treat the fish with. So far i tried mysis, brine and LRS reef frenzy.

Are there any medications in qt? Some will inhibit appetite.

Also increased flow can entice a finicky fish's appetite.

My swallowtail eats anything thrown in the tank except pellets. Reef Frenzy and Mysis included.

Maybe try live?

Half shell clams
This may work, but since Genicanthus angels are primarily planktivores, they prefer to get their food from the water column when it is moving.

Have you tried to add some garlic to the food to encourage the fish. Its how i got my mandrin eating frozen.

I have a japanese swallow female and a true japanese swallowtail bother of them munch on clams that I feed my regal angel. They do like to feed pellets and flakes from water columm but due clam atractiveness they feed on the bottom with all my fishes ...

Genicanthus, if already eating vigorously, are not picky, and will take just about anything offered. However. If it is a newly acquired specimen that is not readily accepting food, mimicking feeeding opportunities from the wild is the most likely way to get them to start eating.
