Hi I purchased some live clams for my cooper band can I just put it on the live rock for him to feed on or do I need to freeze it first

I feed my fish live mussels, clams and oysters. All on the half shell.
I also buy frozen clams that are sold as fish food when I can’t get live ones easily.

Thanks that’s good I will feed my copper band one live clam tonight then as he won’t eat anything at the moment just been picking from the rocks think he’s getting skinny

They will eat live white and black worms if it won’t eat the clam. I take black worms to my lfs sometimes when I get my shipment. He feeds them to new arrivals that are picky eaters
