A bit slow to video the event as most fish had had their fill. Here's what I do. I buy a bag of fresh live mussel from a local supermarket and freeze them.
When I want to feed a mussel I put it in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds depending on size. I then crack open the shell and remove one-sided of it then pop it in the tank.

Would it open on its own if you put frozen mussel to the tank?

With live frozen clams, if you put them in to the tank frozen, they will slowly open on their own.
