Feeding NPS corals (Esp. Non-Photosynthetic Gorgonians). Would Easybooster Phyto suspension feed them or do they require different foods?

Excellent question, the only nonphotosynthetic I have is the yellow finger gorg, and I run easybooster. It seems to be doing well still, I'm not sure if that's why - I do know that I'm terrible at target feeding consistently.

EasyBooster should be fine, I'm el cheapo, so I broadcast feed , powder foods together, powder whole anchovies, powder whole kelp, powder whole egg, powder Brewster's yeast, reef roids, and powder marine algae. All blend together. I feed to the ones I just posted, they're open all day.

This makes me feel better about trying more in the future! I broadcast 2x a week for everything and run easybooster on a doser daily. Maybe I actually *can* succeed with nps hah

Whatever way your tank is setup, these are the two main keys, 1. Get polyps to open, 2. Pacific oysters are a plus for MOST NPS CORALS. Oysters filter water naturally and add vital nutrients back to water that corals love.

Do you have a resource for these? I've seen you post about it a few times on here and on IG

Hahaha. ....

Pacific oysters remove some particles that irritate most corals, the waste and bacteria they release, feed corals, and if they spawn, it's like an all-you-can-eat buffet for the corals , first come first serve, especially nps. Oysters are the ones you can eat. They're not sold at your local Reef store. You'relocal supermarket or Asian market if you have some. All Pacific oysters sold there are alive

If you can keep the oysters alive then you should be able to keep NPS corals' alive. Very simple
Any type of oyster? Aren't they used to cold water? I live a couple miles down the road from the Olympia Oyster Co and have a friend that owns an oyster company. Getting them isn't a problem. The water here is COLD, though.
