I've got a quick question about feeding my corals. I'm basically wondering if they can be fed during the lights on period, or only after the lights go out. The reason I'm wondering is lately I've been on a goofy schedule for work that's had me home when the lights are on and working when theyre off..and unfortunately this schedule may keep up for a while, so feeding them during the day would be awesome for me, but maybe not so much for them? Anybody know if they can be coaxed into eating during the light period? Thanks

It really depends on when their tentacles are out I believe. I have fed mine withlights on before.

All can be trained to open any time of day. One of the old tricks is to take shrimp juice (actually, cocktail shrimp/prawn heads specifically...WONDROUS for stimulating fishes and corals to want to feed. A chemical cue)

You can simply take a small amount of the thawed pack juice from your mysis shrimp (before soaking Selcon, etc). Ad the juice at the same time every day for up to 2 weeks. No need to add meat until the feeding tentacles begin to express timely. Have patience...it will happen if you are diligent.

Ok great advice, Thanks! I'll give the shrimp juice a try and hopefully I can get em trained! Oh and reefup, they are all lps mainly chalice and acans
