I bought a fighting conch a few weeks ago. It stays buried in the same spot of sand all the time. I have a melanarus wrasse blue jewel puffer powder blue tang lawnmower blenny that I would consider my bogey fish but I haven’t seen pick on it. I have picked it up an and it’s still alive not smelling like death. Are they not as active as a strawberry conch or are the fish bullying him

Give him some time, he will start moving around when he is good and ready :) I have five in my display tank- they move periodically, mostly after dark when I don't look.

I also saw a baby bristle worm under when I checked for signs of life. Will give more time

When you flip it over is his claw visible? I had a big spider conch do this and he eventually died. Maybe put a piece of nori under his shell to see if you get a reaction? I supplement feed mine once a week to be sure he gets enough. I use tropic marin treat tabs. I just place it where he's at and he finds it and goes to town.

I see the claw when I have lifted him. Good idea with the nori.

My tiger conch will disappear for days at a time. When I went 4 weeks without seeing it I bought a new one. Within a minute of placing a new one in it came flying out of the sand. They often cruise around together. I wouldn’t worry.
