Fiji Rock = Detritus collector?

Just curious if anybody has had a similar experience. I was doing a water change today and I got my hose close to some of the rock and noticed it was sucking out quite a bit of debris. I started vacuuming other random holes in the rock and I was amazed the amount of debris that came out!

I have several types of rock in my tanks. they all load up with junk.
