I also turned my mp10's into 60's for $30 bucks a piece, lol. My tailspot blenny thought an off powerhead would make a nice cave. With this small of a tank shouldn't hurt flow that much.

Those nem protects calmed down the mp 10s enough to get some nice changing current in the tank. It spreads the prop wash out big time. I will leave the pair of 230 gyres in storage for now. I'm still holding a stick w/ a 6" string attached watching the current. It's pretty good for a 22 gallon tank.

I did get the varios 2 pump squeezed into the small return chamber. It was a one piece at a time process with big hands. It just fits. The project got delayed a bit because I thought a flow meter might be fun to have on there. A 1" meter showed up and WOW, what am I going to do with this pipe bomb? The fittings they included make it twice the size of the meter and being tight on space, I had to find something for a mod. With a little help from Ebay and Royal Mail U.K., I got a couple push tubing fittings that thread on the meter nicely. The varios pump is nearly silent, on speed 3 it is. The rossmont I started with must be dud, two weeks running and loud still. Cheers for now.

I'm getting close to my first pod and phyto harvest. Been going 8 days and the pod culture has consumed most of the plankton. I was hoping the phyto would be darker, but first run at it.

This is what I see right now. I used a razor to cut next to the foot of the toad and then superglued over the 3 roots. It has roots, you can see where I sliced off in the scope. Any ideas? I'll just slice the trunk & throw the shell its mounted on away.

Not much to report. My 2 year old shrimp, pepper had a rough molt. I left him for a day thinking he was dead. I plucked him out and it flopped around, so cut and pulled the aborted molt off its head and legs. Its alive still, just defective legs, bad. Learning how to keep himself upright. I shoot a baster of reefroids mixed with frenzy into his feeders. Finally after a month of getting this tank wet, I'm seeing some dirty. Away we go.

I did dispatch the old shrimp and treated the cat. To make myself feel better, I bought some easy coral that I can keep track of. A slimer, bleached birdnest, stag that I chopped the RTN off of, and two millis. Been noticing I need to pay some attention to the tank now, I can see diatoms coming. I'm one of the guys that keeps a "scorched earth policy" in the tank. I like clean and sterile, not algae all over to wait it out. Must be the farmer in me, if I didn't plant it, I don't want it growing. I've only done water changes and a hint of phosphate rx to keep in the groove. Been about a month and a half since wet. Still waiting for my deltec 400 skimmer though. I almost have the patience of Jobe, but being tested on that for sure. All in all, rolling along. Cheers for now.

After @Greybeard bragged them up, and a little sale at lowes that ends today, I've joined the pitboss club. I'm burning the China off of it right now. It's pretty oiled up, the must've anticipated a wave to splash the freighter. Maybe some new tank shots this weekend. I did score a couple from the ARC sale. A 2 1/2 hour ride to pick them up this Saturday.

My nem protect guard just paid for itself also today. My rainbow rock flower that forever wanders I caught stuck to the pump. Why it can't be happy with the others, idk? I try to keep them in a 1/2" cut down pvc pipe cap. Little fella needs to chill in a bowl & get his foot stuck down for a bit.

I took a 2 1/2 hour ride out with my girlfriend today to A Reef Creation in Buffalo NY to pick up a couple sticks from the live sale last week. A Bennett yellow tort, plutonium pikachu, Tony's cookie monster, and a freebie unknown mille. Nice shop and really friendly staff.
