Filter roller advice

Hi

I have this exact sump below. I want to modify the filter sock chamber to a filter roller. Has anyone done something like this before? Are filter rollers worth it? What filter roller would you recommend . Mines is a 40 breeder sump.

I have always used trigger sumps with the roller factory installed. Reef mat has some nice options at @Bulk Reef Supply

My sump is acrylic, but I just grabbed them and popped them right out. Nothing broke so I stored removed parts. If glass tank, just cut the silicone and remove what’s in the way.
