and three different tanks I'm finally able to enjoy the presence of my yellow banded possum wrasse lol. I've had it in three different tanks and it always remain healthy looking but rarely comes out where it can be seen. Last move was to my IM20 that only had a pair of clowns that hung out in a upper corner and it still wouldn't come out. After loosing the female clown I moved the male out amd finally the wrasse is our exploring where I can see it.

Cute little thing. I’m probably getting one plus maybe one or two others for my fishless 25 .

I bet it doesn’t miss the clowns, and is feeling much better with the new freedom to swim without

Consequences.
I had a love/hate relationship with with the clowns I had before. Love their antics overall but were unintentionally rough on lps they tried to use as hosts.

They can be very rough, but often they tend a colony and nurture the coral to grow faster, thicker and stronger than an untended coral. But how these relationships work out is not a forgone conclusion in my experience.

My clowns were the most boring fish I've ever had. They hosted nothing and just hung out in the upper left with the female spending a lot of time in the back chamber. She got to the point ahe new if I pulled the nozzle out aje should swim through back to the display and I wouldn't chase her around with a net.
The wrasse is enjoying it. I had a hunch it might appreciated being solo. I had a pink streak for a short time and it behaved the same.
The yellow banded was in the 330 for about a year and I would see it occasionally but the sixline decided 330g wasn't big enough for them both.

I have a “pair” that have coexisted in a tank with anemones and they have swam with the return nozzles and avoided the anemones even when larger fish have threatened them?

The male, I kept in an isolation box with an anemone until it was best friends and competently host a clone from the DT. I added him to the fish tank (with 3large clones) and he forgot what an anemone is for and began hanging out with the nozzle-chick at the top of the tank!

Designed to be stupid, I guess?🤡

Do you have a lid for that tank? I thought that I didn’t see one in the pic and don’t want a carpet surfer!
I do not. I know I should but if I do one then I'll feel I need to get lids for all the other tanks and really don't want to spend over $1k on lids. Tanks are all in the living areas of the house and I don't like the looks of the diy options. I've been pretty lucky and only had a few jumpers in 10 years. One was a 30 inch arowana that bounced off my granddaughters chest. That was a fun one to catch.
