i finally got a real camera after my daughter dropped our a year ago. found a canon 30d with sigma 28-70mm len, battery grip, 4 extra battery for $300. pretty good deal for a first dslr and to learn. here are some of my first pics. i was on break and took these in about 15mins so they arent really any good. but practice makes perfect. lol

Nice tank, judging by your quote which dept you work for?

i dont work for a dept. went into the police academy and with budget cuts and everything else around me made it very difficult getting a job around me. it was something they were saying and extremely true. better to be alive then 6' under.

Awesome! Clean the glass and pics will look better  . you going to the space coast reef conference?

Thanks I'm planning on going still not quite sure. You making the trip up here for it?

Nice tank! I need to get me a real camera!
Thanks. I didn't think $300 for this one is a bad deal. Just need a difference Len now to get some close up shots. Figure even if the lens is $250 still be way under a brand new camera.

Looking good with the pics! Great deal on the camera.

Move to Texas. Leo jobs are plenty here and no layoffs

Thanks I'm glad I bought this one for now. Considering they just came out with the canon t5i. plus, the lens will or should work together so I wouldn't really lose anything money with the lens. I think I'll save up for a macro 105mm. I think they're a lot of ppl using them.

Dang that would be awesome. I would probably pick up and move out there. Here sucks cause the class are still going even if they are only hiring 2 ppl in each department.
