I like the look of that. Once the last two main structures are done I do need to make a couple caves. A few of my current fish like to hang in caves, so have to keep that in mind.

Thanks. My current build aquascape does not have any true caves in it, but I tried to build in overhangs and partial caves for them. I tried really hard to give plenty of hiding spots, but spots where I could see into by moving around the tank.

Maybe I should looking into adding some caves...

More rock done and load of items arrived, time to sort through it all as I've lost track of what has arrived, what's yet to be ordered and what is in transit.

Rock work is finally done, or at least all I'm doing.

Did the drain plumbing, all cut and test assembled, need to take it all apart now and glue. Any luck returns will be done tomorrow night, check valves, flow sensors, nothing to crazy.

It is looking really clean man! Don't forget to pull those labels off the fittings! I'm talking with Bashsea about a custom sump right now. What are your thoughts on yours?

I still have to glue everything so for sure those stickers will be gone. I love the sump, plenty of convenience items. I wish I would have ordered the reactors and other items at the same time.

I went with the Smart Series 48-18. I have plenty of space for the items I'm running and it is very light, easy to get in place.

I'm designing a custom based off of their SS-60 model. Mine will be 22" wide and use 7" filter socks (in prep for future use of Klir roller mats). I also am changing up the return pump section to run dual pumps.

That will be awesome. Once the Dreambox is listed here in Canada I will switch to that, not sure what the $$$ will be as last I checked was around $8k usd. But I love the roller in that one. Same as BRS, but then again I could probably have one made.

Yeah, the Dreambox would be awesome. It is just not going to ever happen for me as reefing is not my only expensive hobby! I am kicking around the idea of building my own roller mat filter, but I want to design the sump to fit the Klir so I have a quick and easy option should I not build one or should it turn out to be crap. lol

I am fairly certain that I could figure out the filter mat, I like the idea of the entire overflow area removing the waste.

I did see a few Bashsea sumps with the Klir mods, they will notch out the over flow receptacles to work with the Klir units.

I don't think it would be hard to re-house one of the Klir filters to cover the entire overflow/sock section. I think the tricky part would be to get it to roll up enough dirty filter before the float switch lowered back down and turned it off.

I've only seen one Bashsea sump with Klir filters in it, so if you have links please DM them to me!

You mentioned 75 gallon tanks at one point. Although I ended up not going vertical with these, they are called “horizontal leg” tanks and they do in fact stack. Just wanted to throw that out there. Best wishes. And you did a great job on your stand!

They look great, I did see them, well links to them, seems everyone has limited stock of this and that. Once I get mine setup I'll post a pic, ended up with 2 50g vertical units as that is all I could fit in the area the wife has designated lol.

Mixing station started, welded up a stand to fit its final resting place, need more plumbing as always.
