Finding Pitho Crabs

Hi R2R community,

Is it possible to find Pitho Crabs easily in the wild? I've had success with hermit crabs, but have never found Pithos. Do you have to dig for them or what is their natural resting behavior like? (Central Florida: St. Pete and/or Stewart area).

In our aquariums, Pithos are normally nocturnal and spend the day under the sand.
