Finnex heater question

Anyone know whether the Finnex titanium heaters serve double duty as a grounding probe?
Hi Randy

Only if they have a three prong plug AND the ground prong is attached to the metal envelope.

Do you have a meter you can test continuity or resistance with?

There was a time when many of the import heaters had three prong (grounded) plugs, but the ground wire was left unterminated (simply cut off in the heater body).

Yes, I can test it. The heaters arrive tomorrow. :)

Hi Randy, just checked my Finnex Titanium (300 watt) with 3 prong plug and the case of the heater is in fact connected to the GND Terminal so at least I don't need a GND probe in the sump.

Solid choice. It’s all I use and the only ones I’ll buy
