I checked in on my firefish this evening via a home camera, and I noticed it sleeping in the lower-left, but it's clearly fighting to keep itself in place. I have plenty of PVC fittings in the tan for it to shelter in, but it likes sleeping in the open. Should I add something else in the tank for it to possibly sleep within, around, or between, so that it doesn't have to battle the flow at night?

turn your 45 angled fitting on its side so it has the openings on both sides and the fish can swim through it.
I have a couple more in there that are on their sides. I turned this one on its end because I had a wrasse that liked to sleep at the bottom on one that was stood on its end.

Maybe try a small plant pot or something different from the grey fittings.
I have similar fittings and a plant pot and a cheap little plastic rock cave in mine.
Or it could be he just likes it there.

I’ll give that a try. Do you keep them in the tank if you need to add medications or copper?

They find their happy place and that’s where they stay. I have 2 red and 1 purple in QT right now. They tend to tuck into the side of the PVC pipe and glass bottom.

I take out the plastic rock and plant pot out just to be on the safe side, not really sure i need to but better safe than sorry.
I leave the grey fittings in permanently as they wont soak up anything, but i always just give them a quick wipe with ro water and dry them before going back into a fresh dt if ive had to use medication.

Can you reduce the flow?

Whenever I've qted firefish and I've put 3 through seerate QT's, they would always get themselves into the smallest hide they could find, I put 1/4", 1/2", and 1" PVC and elbows in and they would always pick the 1/4" PVC straight pipe.
