Fireworm ID. Good or bad?

Also, what do I do with the fire worms once I catch them, especially this one? I don’t like them, but I don’t like any living thing to hurt, assuming worms hurt.

Ice water is typically considered the humane way to handle things like this, if that is your preference.

The second worm appears to be a normal, good to have bristle worm. That first one looks like nothing but trouble. Get it out asap. If you see it all the way out get plastic tongs and grab it. If not make a trap for it. Either way get the fire worm out!

It was removed as soon as I saw it. I wasn’t concerned about the smaller one and let it be, but the second I saw the gigantic evil looking thing I took advantage of it being in an easy location/position for me to grab the tweezers and catch him. I was shaking so much I had to keep telling myself not to grab it too tightly and end up chipping it into two pieces. Now I’m trying to decide how to go about removing the other ones I’m sure are in there without losing the beneficial ones. I really don’t want the hassle of traps, but don’t really want to introduce any of its predators and lose all of them. I might give a trap a try, but I’m also considering an orchid dottyback. Aside from the fire worms, I like the current harmony amongst all my beloved critters.

It’s not. I think the only viable option if I’m going to introduce a natural predator to my 13.5 gallon tank would be an orchid dottyback, but I’m hesitant.

Edit: Looking at Google Images, variations of Pherecardia striata, and Eurythoe complanata appear near identical to each other which may be misidentifications, but I am not sure.

They are disgusting irregardless.
In my 75 gallon ...
It was literally covered with mushroom corals.
One day i lifted a rock and those gross things had overgrown my tank cuz i didnt see them
What might this be...
The hairlike threads waving in the current.
My dry coral was seeded for a month b4 added fish.
The sandsifter keeps everything clean. But constantly covering rocks so nothing grows.
The one is snail eggs for certain. What are those round white dots?
The clowns are gorgeous.
The red leg crabs killed all the others.
One by one.
There is one pic with something pink. I have no idea...
