Hi all,

Added my first Acan frag it's about 2" by 4" maybe 12 heads or so. It's currently placed 1/4 up my tank in no direct flow,

Here's two pictures one earlier at max lighting and one just now, I'm not sure on how inflated they should be.

It's currently not glued down, will it eventually encrust onto the live rock?

Usually feed mine 4-5 times a week. Whenever I have time. I have fed single heads and had 2-3 heads pop up in 2 weeks. If the feeder tentacles are out and you're up for feeding....do it.

I like to mix up the frozen and dry. Figure they get better nutrition that way.

The only thing I've noticed about lords in general is that they eat so so slooooowwwww. It's like watching a 90 year old guy eating a well done t-bone. My echinata on the other side of the tank, would probably rip my arm off if given a chance.

I as well like the fauna marin lps pellets....I just find that my fish like them too lol

The issue with mine being too slow is Kevin, my sixline! He'll snatch the food right out of their mouths!

Yes, I named him after a cousin that's ALSO A PRI(k!!!

guys how do you feed them to get them to drop inside. My tank is 48x24x24 and my acans are at the bottom. Do you drop by hand, use a syringe or some tpye of feeding device?

I turn off all flow, and use a plastic pipet to feed straight onto their feeding tentacles or their mouth. I use reef roids or lps.

Looks like it's big enough not to be flipped over by snails, then it's no need to glue.

Mine was only three heads, and my snails and hermit crabs like to toss it around, and doesn't inflate for 2 weeks every time it get harassed.

I feed mysis mixed with reef roids 1-2 x a week. There are 5 big heads now plus 2 baby heads after 6 months
