So far, yes. I do have a couple Jaebo RW8s if more flow (or from another direction) seems to be needed once the tank is stocked.

I'm currently running the xf150 alternating with the A and B rotors as shipped. So 40% forward at the top of the tank for gyre flow, then 70% reverse for turbulent flow alternating. The turbulent flow isn't very forceful so the power can get cranked up.
Very nice :)

I have 2 xf230s on my 55 love them. I run each at 60% alternating gyre.

As far as the CPR aquafuge.. I actually have the medium model on my 55. When I got into the hobby I was advised against getting a reef ready because "sumps are a pain." 14 months later I have a real tank being made.
Anyway, I too noticed insane light spillage so I took black duct tape and went around the sides, the rear, and the bottom. No light spillage anymore. Ugly? Yup. Does it work? Yup.
Yup that does seem to be the downfall with the aquafuge so I will be doing something to combat that issue also, but it is working great on the 20. Thank you for the info on the xf230's also!:)

I also used tape to black mine out. I had some of the metallic adhesive duct tape (not the grey stuff, the actual metal HVAC tape) that worked great to send light back into the fuge.

Interesting idea! that never crossed my mind. Nothing beats a failure but a try right? I will have to give that a go! Thanks!:)

UPDATE ON THE 20
The 20 is coming along. It’s going through the cycle process now into it’s third week. Had a little Diatoms breakout in the aqua fuge 2 all over the chaeto. I’m going to try and clean it in new salt water the same salinity as the tank to see if I can save it. Time will tell on that. I’ll post a pic later of the chaeto.
I tested the water to see how the cycle is going.

Temp 78.1
Salinity 1.025
PH 8.2
NH3/NH4 0.2
NO2 0.5
NO3 5
KH 8.5
CA 320

That’s about it for now.

Mine arrives tomorrow! We can compare progress
Indeed we will do that. I followed the instructions to a tee. All my parmiters were spot on with the instructions. I’m excited to see how well this works. I will do it again with the 75 when it’s set up.
