First in home reef!

hello all!
My name is shane and this is my first personal reef. All of my extended family have had reefs for as long as I have known them. I have been involved in setting up their aquariums but I decided it’s time to take the plunge and get one going. Since I have had a lot of time to plan out my setup I plan to do a large system. Large display with sump and other small tanks in my basement. I just started prepping the basement last week and began ordering things.

I am going to start a thread to follow the whole build. If anyone sees anything that I should be doing different, please do not hesitate to give recommendations. Thanks for letting me join the group.

My display on my first level of my home is a 220 gallon. 72x24x36.

Sump is in the basement. It’s pretty large 72x18x24 custom. Also attached to the system will be a 60 rep tank and a 20ish gallon frag tank.
