So I’m recently returning to the reef tank world after a 15 year break. I’ve been a fan of R2R for months now and have just been hesitant to make an account for what ever reason until now. Saltwater is not new to me but keeping corals is, since I previously only kept anemones. I love the way the anemones away in the water so I’m naturally draw to hammers, torch, and the like.

Here’s my question, I’ve had this hammer for about two months it has always seemed happy, opens up really nicely every day. About 2 weeks ago I noticed a fuzzy offshoot coming from the skeleton and figured it was maybe a new start. But now there are lots of them an I’m worried it’s a pest. I’m hoping some more experienced folks might be able to help me ID what is going on.
