Hello
I have had many freshwater aquariums set up through the years but I thought I would try my hand at a reef tank. I have always been apprehensive about maintaining one and I know it is more work than a freshwater but hopefully I can get some tips or tricks of this forum to make it easier. Thanks for letting me be part of the club.

Howdy.
I dont think it is all that much more work. I came from the fresh water world. You have more things to play with equipment wise and you do need to make salt water rather than regular water. In both worlds you have easy livestock and hard livestock. Just depends on how hard you want to play.......

It is a bit more work, but the reward is ten fold.
It also keeps me out of the bar! Lol.......sometimes.

@Jusin : There is your first solid tip for keeping a saltwater tank: "Stay out of the bar."
We have a lot of good people on here who have great tips for doing everything in reefing.
Glad to have you here also at R2R!
