I’m new here! I’ve had freshwater tanks before (over 10 years ago though). I’ve been doing a ton of research over the last couple of months. I’ve got a 30g tank (I know bigger is better - but don’t want to overdue it initially if I end up hating it!) just starting it up this week, lucky to have a few LFS to help navigate. The biggest challenge I’m having is reading and watching so many different methods for cycling (fish in, fishless etc) I’ve watched lots of BRS as well. What’s everyone’s favourite method to start out? Ready to go nice and slow!
Welcome, and glad to have you. I would ammonia dose before you get fish. There are some fine products like Dr. Tims that will get your cycle moving along before you add them.
