This was my tank on the first day of adding fish, it was 3ppm nitrate, 0ppm nitrate, 0ppm ammonia.
i didnt know it was a bacterial bloom, i thought it was just some kicked up sand.

second hermit is in the tank, the fish got ick, one got popeye aswell.

for the algae on the sand, I just covered it with sand without algae, as the algae needs light.
