My question is, how safe is a 1 dKH raise in ALK in one day? I lose about 1-1.4 dKH in Alk daily and dose to correct it or to maintain about an 8.4.

Also, My tank just started using Calcium at about 30ppm daily it was holding stable at about 430 for the longest, and would like to hold it there.

The second question is how fast is too fast to raise Calcium? I also did the reading when my Alk was at 7dKH.

You might split the alk dose into 2 doses.

Calcium can basically be dosed as needed.
