WOW! Ambitious! Congrats. I hope that you are adding a whole house generator to the construction list. Cannot wait to see this come to life.

Wow, who built you a 500-gallon tank, and how did you get it there? Following!
I had it transported from Melbourne to where I am in the country 300kms away, had a company who shift aquariums everyday take care of the lifting apparently it was quite the task as they had get the tank down the side of house to driveway which was hilly and over grass but it got to my front door without any damage. I don’t know what it would weigh must be 350kgs plus and didn’t help that 100+ kgs of sand was at the bottom. Billy from Star fire aquatics Melbourne built this tank for a friend of his 2 years ago and hopefully I’ll be getting it up and running soon and will start a build forum, will post a link to it this week. Shifting tank inside next week just trying to work out how we are going to do it, thinking we can dolley trolley it in easy enough then use 2 x motorbike hydraulic lift tables to get tank onto stand.

So have had no progress with the tank build all year as been busy with new job and growing family but over the weekend picked up a Bashsea skimmer (8-30) and sump (ss-60) so hoping to find some motivation and time over Christmas holidays to get the tank set up and wet, now to decide on a pump for skimmer..Vectra, Sicce, Laguna.

So 12 months after buying tank am only just cutting a hole in the lounge room wall today, the Mrs is not to happy with the hole and is now wanting the tank in to fill the spot ASAP so sounds like that’s permission to go shopping to get this tank ready to get wet finally.
