First time testing ammonia

Hi all
I've started the redsea 21 day tank cycle using there kit.my first ammonia test is 0.73 is this bad or on the right track?

SO, what you want to see, is your ammonia gradually going up, then it will go down, and the nitrite will go. Once the Nitrite starts going down, and the nitrates start going up, you are there.

I would test daily at same time every day, because you could miss the changes. But in the end, when you start seeing nitrates, you are there.

you'll want to test at a set cadence to see how ammonia is changing during your cycle. You want it to reduce and nitrite rises, and then nitrite will fall as nitrate rises. When your ammonia and nitrite are zero, you are cycled!
