Heater in sump, two power heads in. Salinity and temp dead on.

Problem is the return hose is too short. More will be here today.

I am going to reinforce the screen frame since I modded it. I am also printing an opening that clicks onto the screen to allow the return line to pass through easily. I’ll print it again with a cover as a feed door too.

I also redid the back of the extra overflow box to move it down 12mm. That should give it clearance. I will swap it out while replacing the return hose.

Going to move all the rock and livestock over Saturday morning.

After the move, it’s down to wiring, stand panels and the mixing station.

I am sure hoping this turns out as tidy as I have it in my mind. Lol.

Tidy is a good word for it, at least for now. Very compact, tidy and clean. Do I see one of your leg shim under the left front leg? If so it blends in nicely. Are you planning to skin the stand or leave it open (mine is open)?

Now if the would just make power bricks with built in cord retractors.

I am skinning it. I ordered some very thin panel magnets and special T nuts for the extrusion to work with countersunk m3 screws. The skins will be be painted to match the 12 foot stand and the sea horse art moved to this stand.

The retractable cord is a brilliant idea! Hmmmmm......

I forgot to mention that the second smatfarm G3 was super simple to slave to the other one and works perfectly. Can't wait to move the first light over to the cube and get a shade built. I have something in the works already.

I added some reinforcements to the spacers I made for the screen top. Now it's sturdy.

About to take a break and put the screen on it.

ok top is on, new return hose done. looks spiffy.

I am setting up the ATO now.

I am defnitely going to add the third 6015 I have once I move the livestock over. That should give me somewhere around 2700-3000gph flow plus whatever the return is.

Only issue now is the noise. Not the overflow, it's quiet. The drain section of the sump is louder than I would like. I turned the pump as low as it would go and it helped. I think when I shut the return pump off for a water change, I will put a sweep elbow on the drain to stop if from crashing down.

I think I am running 300gph through the sump and would like 400-450 so I will play with that when I get the elbow on the drain.

Other than that I am really happy with how it's going.

I hung a 15 pound weight from it over night just to see what would happen and it didn’t sag a bit. However the wall I just had a drywall screw in now has a dime sized hole. lol. Good thing that was in the big closet so no one sees it. I used 3 corkscrew anchors on the final install.

The new ATO is installed. It’s so quiet I had to make sure it was running. Tunze knocked it out of the park with this one. To think I was doubting it being worth it.

Tomorrow I have to move the live stock and break down the temp setup and move the master light over.

BTW ye old reliable top off container is probably gonna have to have a new lid or a patch job. I have to drill a bigger hole for the cable to the topoff pump to pass through. I have some clear acrylic but I think this is 3/8 poly. @Lowell Lemon do you remember?

I probably am going to. But there’s other holes too. Plus, to be honest I never liked the handle that I attached.

I use printed stuff as much as I can. Since I have a printer that handles ABS and ASA I can do a lot more structural stuff.

well, it rings like a bell and none of the acrylic I have does so I am guessing that's an indicator.

I wound up with a leak. Not terrible but a leak is a leak.

Took nearly 1.5 hours to fix because it was one of the drains and terrible to get to. I apparently didn't get complete coverage of the glue joint right at the bulkhead. Even though very little water goes down that drain, it still was dripping. I had to end up cutting the nut off the bulkhead fitting to get it out and then replace the bulkhead fitting, a short length of pipe and a coupling. Let it sit for an hour and fired it up. So far no leaks now.
