Sorry about not updating guys.
Thing have been super busy lately. I haven't had time to work on my lack of photography skills.
Lot's of paid laser work and 3d printing.
The tank is doing well for the most part. I did, however, lose the copperband. Dunno why. He was eating well and looked healthy and just saw him stuck to the overflow one morning. Had him over a year and a half.
I am going to have to go another route on the screen top. No matter how much I try, it won't stop sagging in places. I would have to put a laser cut acrylic hook at every joint to stop it and that defeats the purpose. Also, since the screen hooks on every so often, it is pulling between the hooks. In theory, this was a great idea. In practice however... I believe I am going to go back to a screen frame and 3d printed corners and tabs. If my laser would do 24x24 (it doesn 20x28) I would use a piece of 1/2" I have laying around and start from scratch. I wonder if I should break out the CNC and do it? I would have to source clear spline material.
The uglies are just about gone. A good deep cleaning and big water change should finish it off. The other fish and corals are doing very well.
I am going to a coral store about an hour away tomorrow afternoon to pick up store credit corals for some acrylic work I did for him. Right after my buddy and I finish off the last of the PEX conversion on the plumbing. We have to do the part where the supply line comes into the house and splits off to all areas of the house. I will be so glad it's all done.
And lastly, The truck is really coming along. I cleaned it up pretty well and really got the interior looking good except for the arm rests on the doors. Just can't decide what to do. I drove it for a few days but noticed the temp creeping up into territory I didn't like. I found out the thermostat was stuck. So, project creep being what it is, I replaced all the hoses, got rid of unnecessary connections, cleaned and painted what needed it and found out the radiator was just about to pop. Someone had replaced the water pump at one point so that is not being replaced. I should be back on the road Sunday.
BTW, why do people use soooo much RTV on anything to do with a cooling system? It actually, in this case, did more harm than good. And it's a pain to clean off stuff. Just use a flat surface, wet sandpaper and make sure mating surfaces are sanded to 320 and flat. OK, off my soapbox.
